Shah Abbasi Caravanserai in Karaj is one of the valuable historical monuments in Alborz Province and one of the most important historical attractions in the city of Karaj. This stone-and-brick structure, dating back to the Safavid era, was once an important resting place for caravans traveling along the routes connecting eastern and western Iran and the Silk Road. Its location in the central part of modern-day Karaj has made it one of the city\u2019s most distinctive and prominent historical landmarks.<\/p>\n

History of Shah Abbasi Caravanserai in Karaj<\/h2>\n

Shah Abbasi Caravanserai in Karaj dates back to the Safavid period, and its construction is attributed to the reign of Shah Suleiman Safavid, between 1078 and 1109 AH. The caravanserai was located along an important route connecting Khorasan to the western and northwestern parts of Iran via Qazvin.
